Bathroom Exhaust Fan Keeps Tripping Breaker

Our shower exhaust fan is tripping the gfci when turned on.

Go fan contact number. When your bath exhaust fan turns on under a load and pulls more than 4 millamps it is going to trip. I was thinking about diving into the switch box and looking for loose connections and neutrals. Im trying to replace a ceiling fan in a room and the new fan is tripping the breaker.

Where is the most likely source of the problem the switch the breaker or buried in the wall somewhere. The old fan had white black blue and green wires and also does new fan. This model has an intergrated timer which i do not want to use so i didnt connect up the unswitched live and is supposed to be run off of a 3 pole fan switch.

It seems that on occasion not all the time the power will trip when i turn the fan off not on. Ive checked the switch and the connections look clean and the contacts wereare properly wrapped with electrical tape. The circuit breaker is a two switch breaker so am wondering if it the fan draws too much juice for the breaker to handle.

At the distribution board the live is. A cause for the tripping might be a lot of humiditiy in the air which makes the air heavier and causes the fan to work harder at that time. Still the gfi shuts off lights and fan with steam from shower.

Looking for troubleshooting suggestions. Damage or deterioration to wires or cords which can happen when furniture is pushed against plugs in an outlet also causes arcing faults and will trip the circuit. The gfi in my bathroom trips only when taking a showerwe have had it checked by an electrician he thought it was a faulty fan so we got a new one.

Im having problems installing a new ceiling fan. Next he changed out the gfi to a heavy duty one. The circuit breaker for my bathroom fan keeps popping.

Before removing old fan pulled wires out and removed old fan wires making sure i knew where each wire went. My extractor fan keeps on tripping my rcd whenever i turn it on. When i disconnect the fan there is a molex plug in the fan the gfci does not trip when the switch is turned on or off.

In my bathroom i have a switch for the light and a switch for the exhaust fan. They sometimes allow current leakage that can trip the afci and create a situation where a circuit breaker keeps tripping without a load.
