Please run your fan on high speed for 24 consecutive hours and the smell will disappear. Some will smell like machine oil others will smell heavily like plastic and some will smell like diesel of course its not diesel but thats the closest thing i can compare it to. If it is new follow the instructions in your owners manual for proper first time use.
