Xfinity Box Fan Noise

When you raised the dvr itself did you try putting some rubber foam or felt pads for it to sit on to reduce any vibration noise. It just constantly buzzes with an extremely annoying sound. Start at 12 tb for performance starter 25 mbs and increase based on the speed. Like i said mine is just a tad less loudintense than that one but the second i heard that video i was like that is the noise i know that electronics can have fans and such but this is not a fan noise. My comcast cable box that includes dvr and regular cable makes this annoying cracking sound and a high pitched sound and it can get very loud and annoying when trying to watch tvif anyone has this problem also and know how to fix it i would really appreciate it.

The new comcast xfinity x1 dvr box is loud. Slucier54 is the noise the actual whirring of the fan or possibly a vibration induced noise. That would actually be pleasant compared to this high pitched squeal.

X1 tv box comparison dvr vs. Bandwidth is relatively cheap these days so xfinity shouldnt be so stingy with the data plans. Guess the xfinity site cant track with a certain browser so i went and looked at the offers for new customers and i am beyond pissed about this situation now.

I hate that sound.
